A pre-registration opportunity is being presented at San Jacinto Mall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, for students new to Goose Creek CISD. GCCISD staff will be on hand in the mall’s Community Room (across from Eye Masters) to offer assistance with: Completing registration packets; reviewing immunization records; assistance with bilingual registration; residency requirements …

Rock hyrax babies born at Md. Zoo
The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is welcoming its newest arrivals – two rock hyrax babies, born to Roscoe and Palele, the zoo’s adult hyraxes. The babies were born early July 12. As they appear to be thriving, it might be some time before staff gives them a veterinary exam.
