Interview (03.10.2009) with Tom Fife regarding an essay that he wrote (dated 11.20.2008) entitled, “The First Time I Heard Of Barack.” Tom Fife, an American, was in Russia in 1992. He was in the process of starting a software development joint-venture company with some people from the Russian scientific community. The Soviet Russian Communists told Tom that the United States would, in the future, elect a black man as President and that his name is Barack. Tom was told that Barack is a communist. Tom was told that Barack was born of a white mother and African father. Tom was told that Barack was born in Hawaii, although the Russian ( a woman) was hesitant and noticeably unsure of herself when she mentioned the Hawaiian birth. VIA Fall Training The Volleyball Institute of America is holding its annual Fall Training Program for those 7-14. The dates are Sunday, Sept. 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24. The times are noon-1:30 for ages 7-10, 2-3:30 p.m. for 11-12s and 4-5:30 p.m. for those 13-14. The final day includes tryouts for the 2010-2011 Club Season.
