By mutual agreement the Panama Canal was built by the US Army Corps of Engineers between 1904 and 1914. In 1977, an agreement was signed for the complete transfer of the Canal from the US to Panama by the end of the century. On January 1, 2000, while everyone worried about their computers crashing, the operation of the Panama Canal was handed over to China.
Panama is U.S. land, like Guam, so McCain being born there is no big deal. Kenya, however, is not.

@torchy3615, Yes, but, that law was repealed 5 years later, and the new law said, ” the children of citizens of the United States, born out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States, shall be considered as citizens of the United States”. This left the only place in the world, where the child of citizens could be born, and still considered a “natural born citizen”, within the United States.

Hmm, that not only lets McCain IN, but puts Obama OUT.
@torchy3615, Yes, McCain is a citizen, but, he is NOT a natural born citizen because he was born in Panama and was no more eligible for office than Obama. This is why he has remained silent on the issue since day one.

The ONLY people who seem to have actual memories of this guy before 2000 are in Kenya: Granny and the ambassador, the science teacher and Unc. They all seem pretty convincing… especially in light of the recent information about his faulty Hawaiian birth “registration”.

In June, 2008, after viewing the Certification of Live Birth, provided on Obama’s Fight the Smears website, Janice Okubo, of the Hawaii Health Department stated, “I don’t know that it’s possible for us to even say beyond a doubt what the image on the site represents.” If Hawaiian officials won’t verify it, who cares what 2 college students at Fact Check said?
What’s sad is people believe this radio show caller over a verified, universally accepted-in-America birth certificate. Again, his birth certificate was VERIFIED!!! by a non-partisan group. Why is that still hard to believe for people? Don’t let your ignorance overshadow the truth America. For christsake, it seems as if the only thing that will convince them is actually being at his birth. What more do you want.? Obama isn’t destroying America, it’s people are.

WHY if this is the case hasn’t someone in an official capacity (or the GOP) done something? I LIKE Obama, I despised during the election. I was convinced he wasn’t born in Hawaii. This video was created 1 1/2 years ago…please explain why nothing has changed, or thatthose of us who believed he wasn’t eligible were right.

i went to kenya, i love that country. i spent alot of time in nairobi and mombassa, and i wish i could live there. the locals are very polite unlike where i live.

@jb26508, This is no joke. Obama’s grandmother, Sarah Obama, has stated that she was present when he was born in Mombasa, Kenya. Many African newspapers have also run stories, stating that Kenya is the land of his birth or referred to Obama as being Kenyan born. It is no secret that our MSM has been covering for Obama since day one of his campaign.
This has to be a joke. This would have been all over the news(FOX CNN MSNBC). Obama would have never been able to take the oath of office if this were true.

@QUINTUSMAXIMUS, Listen again. Yes, he did mention that Obama’s father had a degree in economics and that he worked for the Kenyan government. However, when he was asked about Obama’s birthplace, he said “it is already well known, his paternal grandmother is still alive.” He was talking about Sarah Obama, his father’s stepmother, and Obama’s oldest living relative. Obama’s father was born in 1936- his father’s grandmother is not alive.

In Kenya, Birthplace is reference to the root household where your paternal parent comes from.. I also have difficulty trying to distinguish this and many a time has landed me in a bowl of hot soup… I keep making inference to my actual birthplace while in actuality the person was asking about my paternal root home. @glyork63 Actually, the man has a strong accent. He is decent in English. I have actually taught English. The man also stated that the Obama he was referring to graduated with a degree in economics. Obama had a degree in law. He was a law professor. His university hired him on the basis of having a law degree. The ambassador referred to an economist who also worked for the Kenyan government.
Only Obama senior worked for the Kenyan government. How is your grasp of English? Listen to it all.
